My work experience

I'm Jake, and I've been taking part in a bit of work experience here at allmedia ltd. From the 26th-28^th of October, and enjoyed it start to finish! After having already done some work experience for the guys downstairs at Hedley-McEwan, I managed to gain some time upstairs, midweek, where work was in full swing! There's a really fun atmosphere up here, and I felt right at home with all the guys, but the work still always gets done!

As allmedia are often web-based, it was excellent to get a sense of copy writing in a print-based, and a web-based style. I started out writing some copy for a brochure for a web package allmedia are offering, and it was a great insight into the world of work, and specifically into writing and graphic design!

Later in the week, I began designing a PDF leaflet for a job allmedia were working on, and got some insight into the graphics side of the company, as well as making the odd cup of tea (or five) the highlight of the week was probably watching my idea of a graphic come to life, as Mark built it in photoshop, (or possibly watching Malcolm getting laughed at. A lot.)

I'd been considering a career in advertising or copy writing prior to this work experience, but my time at allmedia has really cemented it.. Thanks guys, I've had a great time!
