I used to think of websites in terms of design and development. I now think of websites as design, development and content.

Often the biggest challenge in the development cycle is creating the content. Lorem Ipsum is good for showing how content will fit perfectly into the space that has been designed - however when have you ever seen a client/copy writer provide the same number of words in the same format?

Some of the key parts of content strategy are:

It's key to know what the purpose of your content is and who your audience is. You should ensure your content is both informative and engaging - not an easy task.
